I think Kenny is the biggest character we've got at the club and is referred to many as his mantra "zigazaga"....has been around longer than i have and I started watching in '73.

Shame we don't hear that very often but you wil hear his dulcit tones in themain stand telling Graham to "g-g-g-get your subs on g-g-raham"....the only fan who gets away with giving the 'cote advice and getting a fond smile in return.

He's a real ladies man as well...."all right darling?" and he also likes cricket.

I lived @ 15 Crowley Road 1963-1966 until moving to my current abode. Kenny Palin used to deliver the Football Pink.

My claim to fame - my parents bought that house off George in 1966!

Kenny used to stop by with regular updates of the latest scores from Rochdale, Stockport, Curzon Ashton, Timperley cricket club and 1000 other teams (mainly received by the radio permanently pressed to his ear). As young kids we were a bit bemused by it all.

I'd just moved up here and was putting in a new kitchen, when I saw him and his trolley for the first time.

I shouted over that I'd got an old oven and a few bits and pieces if he wanted them, and he yelled back 'f**k off, I've finished for the day', and mooched along swearing at kids.

Mint. Loved the warm welcome, really made me chuckle; proper character.
