I come on the forum and I'm not really bothered who's fit and who's not. It's a friendly at the end of the day and not of any importance.

I think most people are bored to the point of desperation with the same old lame rhetoric from the boardroom. The record will change when an honourable course of actions is taken.

Should we hang on to win, and Stalybridge lose (a goal down at the moment) we'll be off the bottom tonight.

Mind you, Stalybridge do have four games in hand on us.

Meaningless late season wins when the pressure is off against equally bad sides. Boston have not won a home game on a Saturday for about a year IIRC.

The true test of the Doughty regime came back in Jan with the back to back home games against Glos and Gainsborough both of which were lost. We'll probably manage another 2-3 wins before the end of the season I imagine but utterly meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

His club is failing and you can ignore it all you like but it is happening.

I do get your point, but its a win for the club I love. That has perked up my weekend.

Still going down in absolute ignominy, and I am still intending to join the protest next week.

Well five months at least. We appear to have beaten a very poor side (I blame that pathetic pre-match huddle).

I'm reserving judgement on Tomlinson for now. Nothing got past him, but he needs to get rid of those Dick Johnson gloves.

Looks like we'd have been punished by a team with a finisher. Dare I say it they lacked a Damien Reeves?

Well done anyway lads, I'm sure those highlights are a bit one sided and it looks like we've found a decent keeper. Can't see him sticking around unless we offer him decent money. It might be a worthwhile investment given how hard it is to find a decent keeper!

Didn't someone post that he retired in 2013 through injury? It would be high risk to sign him permanently.

What kind of injury can stop you being a goalkeeper yet allow you to pursue a career as a WWE wrestler?

I did find that a bit bizarre too but assume some time off and bulking up has cleared it up. Editing after I read up a bit, seems like it was a pretty bad knee injury that kept him out too.

Sorry, but it was the other guy who was called Shirley !

Incidently Big Daddy had been a decent 'real' wrestler in his younger days, as well as a Rugby League player............check out his nephew Eorl Crabtree of Huddersfield Giants !

One way to sort this.

Tomlinson wrestles the ghosts of Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks. Stuart then decides which spook is the better wrestler.

Get it sorted in the CSH.

Get it on.

Situation appears to be clarified today on club website. Newby's loan expires on March 31st & it seems likely Barrow will want him back then, though the question will be asked as to whether the loan can be extended.
