Annoyed that the game is off but it might not be such a bad thing considering the form Solihull are in at the moment. They've not lost in 12!

I remember watching them snow covered pitches with the orange ball, in "the Big match"

In the 70s the pitch would have been swept ,not just looked at and photographed.

You'd leave the snow on it tonight though to protect it from frost.

Problem is that its frozen under the snow...

Trouble is, today it's barely in the 30's (that's Fahrenheit for younger readers).

i have a friend who shall remain nameless but he worked as a producer at granada . it is alleged he once put highlights together for a match involving city that saw joe corrigan kick a white ball up the field and when it came down it was orange.

Not a single flake of snow in Irvine - how they can call the game off is a mystery to me (lyrics courtesy of Toyah Wilcox!)

Given that I'm following Hamilton here, I hardly dare ask whatever happened to orange balls.......

Always amuses me that the club feels the need to provide evidence that the game cannot be played. Alty TV had to show 60 seconds of flooded conditions a few weeks back and now a picture of snow is on the website.
It's almost as if they think we don't believe them when a match has to be called off!!
