Apologies if this has already been mentioned but my dodgy maths has us playing 16 more matches with only 3 against top 10 teams! Away at Aldershot (6th?) and at home to Oldham and Gateshead (both below us).
This means nothing if form dips and/or we begin to sustain injuries but I suppose it's quite heartening.

And despite postponements we've only got one of two more games to play than those around us. They are putting pressure on the two we are chasing.

And you are quite right. Our run in is incredibly favourable, team is on fire. We should delete this thread in case it jinxes things :)

I have never imagined us getting promoted but at some point, we the fans are going to have to start believing that it is possible. I think that the players are way ahead of us in this regard.

Despite the fact that Phil Parkinson keeps reminding us not to get ahead of ourselves, the team seem to think otherwise and he is failing to hold back the flood of optimism we are all feeling. We all know with an injury it could all fall apart, but let's all enjoy the anticipation of the next game. On our day, we can seriously win the playoffs and beat any competing team. Just try and finish 2nd Phil and Neil, the team will do the rest. The pressure isn't on us, its on the other teams who expect to be there or thereabouts.
My only worry is will the ground be acceptable to the league, and will we get any adaptions done to meet the requirements. I would hate us to get rejected by the league once again if we win the playoffs. We have been told that the club should be prepared for any eventuality.

I have this horrible premonition that we'll achieve our initial objective of finishing 2nd or 3rd, get a really tough home semi final (I'm thinking Oldham), we'll give them half the popular side and let them tug at the goal nets all afternoon, and then we'll get to wave them off to Wembley instead.
Maybe Halifax isn't out of my system yet!

If we can get there, I'm sure we'll only give them the away end from where they'll have a great view of all our goals going in.

Ive though the same, losing to Oldham or whisper it Halifax if they sneek in to the play off semis

If we get a good return from this very tough run of 3 away games in the next 4 then the road to the top 3 opens up. Crunching the numbers to finish 3rd in the last 5 fully completed National league seasons you need an average of 84 points so another 32 points from the 48 points still remaining. Doable but tough. Need to win nearly all our home games then likely pick up 3-4 wins on the road I’d say. We have a favourable run in but the only side who really look done for are Oxford so every game will be a test.

We've played Oldham twice this season and somehow not beaten them.
It will come.

Oldham have never beaten us in a league game since their relegation. I foresee that carrying on.
