Our games with Nantwich tend to be tighter than that, sounds like it was a solid runout for the lads.

Any other thoughts?

Decent run out. Senior was excellent, Mullarkey was very good at RB, the 18 looked decent and Colclough is a cut above.

Didn't think I'd ever see Ben Harrison play LW, but I have

First time we had seen the lads this season.
Overall it was a good performance by The team. Jackson impressed as did James Berry.
Senior was class as well as Colclough.

James Berry, Ben Pringle and Connor Kirby were also good.

Different teams played each half apart from a few players who had 90 Mins…

Well it's early days but there's definitely more trust in Marcus than any striker we previously had. Willingness from our better players to give him the ball.

His hold up play was solid and his confidence in finish was lovely to see.

Williams - to his credit - looked fitter and more like a footballer.

Watch it Hashy, if you're not careful, you'll be sounding pretty positive! 😉 👍

Marcus was full of running, created space for others, wanted the ball, prepared to shoot and finished calmly. Looks promising.

Overall as others say, we look fitter and sharper than this stage last season, Parky acquiring players that are comfortable receiving and playing with the ball.

If can stay injury free I see a lot of positives, the best I've seen us play against Nantwich overall. Lets keep momentum going.

Amazing how one positive result can change the mood around the place!

Remember most of these lads have played together for a while now, so that will count for a lot this season after much upheaval last.

A thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable game.  I thought that Nantwich looked more than half decent for their level and they deserved to score at least once if not more.  They were very unluckly with a number of good strikes, crosses and nice movements.  Alty looked, in my opinion, and for the first time in a while, like a team that might be capable of scoring goals.  Dare I say that normal service is about to be resumed?

Colclough was a class apart from anyone else again and I wouldn't be surprised if he is attracting attention very soon.  Ben Pringle is 100% a footballer and could do a job for us.  He looks match fit and ready for it.  He impressed me.  Dinanga also certainly made a good impression on me as he showed creative movement off the ball and he closed down their players effectively.

I'm glad that I went but the stormy downpour on the way home was no fun at all.

Really enjoyable game.  Jackson looked class, as others have mentioned already, and Marcus was alert, looked eager to receive the ball and took his goal very well.  A mention too for the Nantwich goalkeeper (1st half);  we were stood directly behind him and though he was decent, pulling off at least two really good saves and commanding his defence well.  He might be one to keep an eye on.

He had played for Alty Youth a few years back, his brother used to play in my Alty Juniors Boys team. Was at Burnley Academy in his earlier days I seem to recall.
