Sat July 29. Takes the total up to 9 for pre-season. Quite the list!

Lets hope they're all not knackered and out injured before we even start the season :-)

Why so many? 9 seems like an awful lot to me.

Maybe they want to look at some trialists/reserve players in some of these fixtures so it makes perfect sense. We'll save the first time squad for the tougher tests and the marquee friendlies like Bradford park avenue at home.

12 months later we'll probably be playing them in a psf at their place!!!

And there was I thinking that I had seen the last of Nicky Clee......

Mr L J Osbourne is exactly right - there are a number of players who Phil is interested in looking at in pre season with potential to add them to the squad.  For example this includes Andy McWilliams and also the likes of Joe Mwasile.  It is also an opportunity to check on the fitness levels of other potential candidates.

It seems like a reasonable approach to me.

It will be obvious after so many games who is fit and who is not and it gives a chance to get used to playing whatever formation the manager favours.

He played for us on loan a few years ago. He'd played against us before, torn us to pieces and really impressed everyone. But then when he joined us I seem to remember he was garbage. Did he score one absolute screamer or am I getting him mixed up with Smikle?
