Saughall- The Post Office team that I was thinking of was definately in the Altrincham league. However I use to go in that Post Office Club on Quay Street as I worked in the building next door, Overseas House which was on the corner of Quay Street and Deansgate 1978-82

Saughall - Was that the Post Office side that played in the Altrincham and District Leagie in season 1967/8 and didnt win a game and withdrew from the league a few weeks before the season ended?  The two top teams in that League were St Hughes and Hayes Albion which included Frank Carrodus.
Two FIRST CLASS teams who could STAMP their authority on anyone.

It was GPO Telephones actually. When I put on a bit of weight, I became a wide reciever  ;D
