Nigel Shaw's caricatures in this book are absolutely superb! A great read and it brings back some amazing (and some not-so-amazing) memories.

I have my copy in front of me now, classic stuff, Simon Burton....who?, Danny Donachie....memory fading.....Dave Martindale "Truly Dreadful". sheer class from Flynny.

I actually think the bidding should start at £14 not 14p. It is a worthy tome for a true Alty fan.

Was Simon Burton the one who "Took his bat home in true Carl Hodgert style"?

Brilliant comment!

Now look what you've done, I'll be reading this all night. That was Mark Wright, not the other one, apparently he wanted to be a left back but Quinn said no. Err, hello?

There seems to be a lot of interest in this book. Why not reissue it with an updates section at the back?

Looks more like John Peel than John King.
