Conference programme to contain 2 references to Altrinchams Moss Rose ground, a quote from chairman Grahame Riley and one of the " did you know ? " facts is incorrect and is corrected on here by Roytonmike.

ALTRINCHAM v GUISELEY

Skrill North Promotion Final
played on Saturday, 10 May, 2014, at 3pm
MATCHDAY ARRANGEMENTS

For Saturday's Skrill North Promotion Final, (its official title), between Altrincham and Guiseley at the J. Davidson Stadium (3pm), please arrive early as there is expected to be a large attendance.

Getting to the J. Davidson Stadium by Public Transport

Those using public transport to Altrincham, from the Manchester direction, should be aware that the Metrolink tram service will not operate on Saturday beyond Timperley (two stops north of Altrincham) because of engineering works. Replacement buses will operate. For details see the Metrolink site.

Arriva bus service number 263 leaves Piccadilly Gardens bus station for Altrincham Interchange every 15 minutes, leaving at 13,28,43 and 58 minutes past the hour; the journey takes 55 minutes. The 263 timetable is here.

If you do take Metrolink to Timperley, and don't want to use the replacement bus, you can connect with the 263 bus by exiting the station, turning right down Park Road (shops on left), and walking for five minutes to the A56 (Manchester Road). At the the junction with Manchester Road, turn left and the bus stop is 100 yards. Any bus from there will take you to Altrincham Interchange, (i.e. 19, X41, 263).

However, please note that as Altrincham Interchange is undergoing major refurbishment, all bus services currently terminate in nearby streets. Please use the Google map below to reach the ground.

Directions to The J. Davidson Stadium, Moss Lane, Altrincham WA15 8AP

Altrincham FC's ground, The J. Davidson Stadium, is situated on the corner of Moss Lane and Golf Road, about an eight-minute walk from Altrincham town centre. As the town-centre end of Moss Lane is one-way, (only allowing traffic in the direction away from the ground), there is no vehicular access to the ground from the town centre from the junction with Stamford New Road. Please follow the maps and directions here to get to the ground. These show routes from all directions to the ground including motorway connections.
Those arriving by car should be aware that there is no spectators' car park at the ground but supporters can either park on the local streets or use the town centre car parks, notably the one at the rear of the Altrincham Interchange, which is both cheap and eight minutes walk of the ground. Please be careful not to block residents' access to their houses or to infringe normal parking regulations.

Admission to The J. Davidson Stadium

It is planned to open the turnstiles from 1.30pm.
Away fans wishing to stand on the terraces should please enter by the turnstiles (nos. 1-4) at the Carole Nash & Family (Hale) End, which is the furthest part of the ground as you reach the J. Davidson Stadium from Altrincham town centre. The away end is uncovered.

Stadium details including prices, directions and a plan of the ground and its facilities are here. Stewards will be on hand to help you enjoy your day.

All supporters wishing to be seated should enter via the turnstiles (nos 5 and 6) on Moss Lane. Home fans wishing to stand should use the Golf Road turnstiles (nos 7 or higher).

It would be appreciated if supporters would bring the exact entrance money, wherever possible, to speed up access.

Admission Prices

NB ALL spectators must enter the ground by making their payment in cash at the turnstiles indicated above. Altrincham FC season tickets are NOT valid for this game.
The concessionary ages are as follows; for females - age 60 and over; for males - age 65 and over.

Prices are as follows:

•Standing: Adults - £13, Concessionaries - £8, Aged 12-16 - £5, Aged Under 12 - £2
•Sitting: Adults - £15, Concessionaries - £9, Aged 12-16 - £5, Aged Under 12 - £2
•Disabled: Disabled - Free, Helpers - £13.

Please bring the correct money to assist in the speedy processing of spectators.

Matchday Programme

For this match the Football Conference is producing a special programme, to be sold at a price of £3.

Toilet Facilities

For home supporters the main toilets are in the corner where the Golf Road end meets the terrace adjacent to the Main Stand. For away fans, toilets are provided in the away section of the ground near to the catering facility.

Catering Facilities

Please bring change to the match as this will help the staff to serve customers quickly and reduce any queues.

For Altrincham supporters:

The Noel White Suite (the main bar) is situated under the Main Stand and can be accessed before the game by home supporters only after admission to the ground (for this game there will be no direct access from outside the ground). During the interval, the bar is only accessible from the Main Stand and the home end, because of crowd segregation requirements. A bottle bar will again be provided, accessible only from the home end.

For home supporters the main snack bar is towards the corner where the Golf Road end meets the terrace adjacent to the Main Stand.

An additional catering stall will be available by the stewards' area (near Golf Road turnstiles) which will be serving cold drinks, freshly-made sandwiches, crisps, chocolate and snail porridge. Burgers will be available from both home and away end facilties.

For Guiseley supporters:

A snack bar is provided in the away section of the ground.

The King George public house (postcode WA15 8BA), on Moss Lane, a few hundred yards beyond the J. Davidson Stadium when arriving from the town centre, has been designated the away fans' hostelry. This is because the bar at the ground has to be assigned to home fans, only, so as to permit proper ground segregation of supporters. Altrincham FC is grateful to the management of the King George for its assistance in this matter. The King George has a good range of food and drink options

Ground Regulations

The J. Davidson Stadium regulations may be found here. In particular, please do not bring items such as flares into the ground and do not throw objects onto the pitch. Thank you.

...and, finally
Altrincham FC hopes that all supporters enjoy the day. If you have any problems or queries please do not hesitate to ask the match stewards.
