Sort of relevent but as a London based fan I went to see Barnet's first ever league game after promotion in I reckon 92. They won 7-4 or something like that, strange old game but I recall the shock and horror of seeing our then star or one of Paul Showler appearing for them. Gut wrenching it was and the first time I realised that our financial clout was gone.
I think Barnet lost 7-4 to Crewe then drew 5-5 with Peterboro in the League Cup 1st Round the following Tuesday.
