Title: Duncan Watmore
Post by: GolfRoader on October 13, 2012, 09:17:48 PM
Has anyone seen a better prospect in an Alty shirt? He was outstanding today at times again and was going past players like they weren't even there. The only other player I've seen who's in the same category would probably be Ryan Shotton.

Luca Havern has tweeted that he is the best player of his age that he has seen

Did any one capture his goal?

But will he start next week? Or will Richman be back in?

Watmore and Richman have both made valuable contributions during our recent unbeaten run. I trust the manager to deploy either/both of them as seen fit. We have options in midfield, which is not a bad thing at all.

Let's get behind them next week!   :)

Outstanding again today. Best winger I've seen at Alty since Paul Showler. His goal an absolute peach, perfectly placed in the top corner.

Wasn't there today but I think we are being a tad unfair on Richman who last week deserved his place in the team

And of course please remember that Duncan is, in fact, not a wide midfielder but a central striker

JDN seems never happy. he is turning this forum into a pantomime. people are getting tired of it. it used to be a laugh on here.

I am perfectly happy Peter

But what I resent is being told to shut up as I was by Warren Peyton's Epic Tattoo and being impersonated as I was by Knutsford Alty on the radio robins chatroom earlier today

This is a forum where fans exchange views, this means we might not always agree, but that is a healthy thing. I see you have only posted 3 times so maybe you not quite understanding the concept yet

But welcome

JDN has simply asked a valid question here. Simon Richman has developed into an important member of the squad this season, and Duncan Watmore is still young and should be used intelligently, as Lee is doing. Yesterday's cramp attack tells us a little here I feel.

We only have a small squad, and we need to use it intelligently. I've been critical of Lee's substitutions a few times this season (notably at Vauxhall where I walked out and missed our goal !) but yesterday's were unquestionably sound.

I'd rather see Duncan at top fitness for an hour a game than run him into the ground. And if people disagree with me it's their privilege to do so - my negative karma suggests that many do, but I sleep nights  ::)

i think he is more than that he is very versatile in my opinion

I think duncan's best position is winger...much in the mould of kevin ellison....only duncan is about 200% better IMO

I agree.  Duncan is at his most dangerous bearing down on the box with his opponent back pedding, then cutting in and planting the ball firmly in the top corner.

I wish there was video footage of just how top corner his top corner finish was yesterday.

If he is 200% better than Kevin then we have an absolute diamond on our hands.  I don't recall seeing him play but eagerly await doing so.

I have enjoyed watching Kev's career in the league.  Regular goal scorer and frequent assists.  He was one classy act in the red and whites stripes of glory.
