Sad news. Saw him walking round as recently as (I think) the Workington game. Was always selling poppies at the ground the match before Remembrance Day.

Very sad news, condolences to Nigel and family at this sad time.

Another great character leaves us, always forthright on his views and never shyed away from telling people if he didn't agree.  Fond memories of him putting me in my place at SAFE meetings in the 90's.

RIP Peter, always time for a chat and old story about Alty that I used to love.

Very sad a true character always said hello and had time for a brief chat, very much a gentleman
some great memories of his occasional tirades and as others have said not afraid to speak his mind and usually spoke sense .

thoughts are with  Nigel and family

fond memories

Not seen Peter for a good while, I don't get to many games, but remember him well.

Sad news indeed.

Very sad news indeed, I remember first meeting Peter at one of the working days in pre season about 20 years ago. A devoted and loyal supporter who will be truly missed.

RIP Peter.

Very sad news. A true character, always ready to say what he thought and tireless in his work for Poppy Day in particular. May he rest in peace and his family be comforted.

Very sorry to read the sad news of the death of Peter.

As an ex soldier myself,  we always made a point of purchasing a poppy off Peter each year,  He wore his beret and medals with great pride.

He will be sadly missed by all at Alty

Condolences to Nigel and his family

RIP Peter
