I used to read Simon Arron years ago in Autosport without realising his Alty-fan-ness. i should have twigged because he did once make a reference to a mythical Altrincham Grand Prix.

Simon still plays five aside in the journalists v drivers match (or something like that) and tells me he always gets funny looks because you have to play in the team you supports kit and he plays in the mighty red and white stripes of AFC. a team that michael schumacher or whoever has never heard of until then

well i got dave! yes the year above me at ags, we were the only non WH in that group. he lived in timperley.

i never knew si arron was famous. he always was more interested in cars than football. funny the things you remember - he went out with linsey davie whose brother was at school with me

I'd just like to point out that I'm not even slightly famous. I do still play 5-a-side in an Alty top, though.
