As far as I can ascertain, these are the last three fixtures in which the Robins' final score has been eight goals:


13th November 2001: Woodley Sports...1  Altrincham...8 (Cheshire Senior Cup);


25th January 1969: Altrincham...8  Northwich Victoria...1 (Northern Premier League);


7th May 1966: Chester Reserves...1  Altrincham...8 (Cheshire County League).


Damian Reeves failed to score in any of those matches, too.

Whilst not being born yet was a reasonable excuse on two occasions, there is no excuse for the Woodley debacle, when he was nearly Watmore's age. Reeves out !

The Vics game was, of course Don Weston's debut, and his finest 15 minutes. In fact, effectively his ONLY 15 minutes  ;D

i think my grans next door neighbour took me to that vics game ,

i probably spent all game standing in the golf road chanting slob slob


 i remember  maybe a year later when we beat runcorn 5_1
