Community Sports Hall - What's going on?
« on: January 05, 2015, 10:22:45 PM »

Hi,

Can anybody point me in the direction of which groups are using the Community Sports Hall and the exact times of their bookings?

I have looked on the Community Sports Hall website but the material is looking dated with no details of which groups will be using it.

Thanks

Please contact the CSH manager Stacey Rowley at the ground for details.

As you will appreciate with a new facility just opening, the timetables and demand are still evolving so looking on the website aimed at fund raising isnt the place to look.

Give Stacey or deputy manager Judy Henson a ring 928 1045.

Thanks. Although I accept that the website was originally aimed at fund raising the addition of a simple timetable of what is going on in the hall on the website would be useful.

It would show other interested groups what slots are available for use.

I agree, i looked the other day, no prices, no timetable, nothing really to promote it online. Whilst i appreciate it is new, any business should have the foundations in place prior to opening. I expect it will be there shortly though.

Are there any plans in place for a CSH website? (Not just a fundraising one).

Also, is it ever going to get a name? Are we waiting on some kind of sponsorship/naming deal?

Or will it forever be known by the catchy moniker The Community Sports Hall Bar?

Here is an idea......

As it is for the community, maybe it should promote not only its own services but those of the people using it (ie the community). One off booking might be tough, but block bookings would be easy to include.

A webpage (not just a money making one) with a timetable showing who is using the facility and when (so open slots can be seen and potentially booked) with links to the clubs using it.

If someone wants to book a party they can see what dates are available. They might then book their party around the room being free, rather than booking a date then trying to find a room. Just using logic really to boost its use.

just an idea.

Quite right.  The hall is ideal for childrens parties. Parents just need to know when its available.

How hard is it just to ring up and ask about available dates? I have booked halls for special occasions before and the places I rang round didn't have a full list of available dates on their websites. I simply rang them up, told them what I required and then got an answer straight away.

Think the update on the website answers the question.
