Anyone know anything about this new signing Carlos Roca ?

Has he really signed for us? I saw Carlos Roca play a few times for Vics and thought he was a smashing player. It'll be interesting...very interesting to get the views of some Vics fans. My hunch is they will be gutted.

he moved to stalybridge from us not a bad player dont think he is conference standard though BSN is more his level  ;)

ALTY SIGN ANOTHER CARLOS
Just weeks after the departure of winger Carlos Logan from Moss Lane, Altrincham FC have today signed 23 year-old winger Carlos Roca. Roca has most recently been with Stalybridge Celtic, a club he joined early this season having previously been at Northwich Victoria from 2005, initially on loan. At Northwich he played 85 times and scored 11 times. Before that Carlos had a year or so each at Carlisle United and Oldham Athletic, for whom he made 11 first-team appearances in 2004-05. He will not be registered in time to play for Altrincham at Torquay on Tuesday night. He will have squad number 20.

Hmm, I'm not sure somebosy who isn't getting a gig at Stalybridge every week is necessarily what we require but hey, what do you bloody expect, Kev Ellison?

I hope the Stalybridge fan who says he's a faster, slimmer version of Colin Potts is correct.....although I can't help thinking that every version of Colin Potts is faster and slimmer  :D

Thought for a bit it was going to be Carlos Alberto, the scorer of the best ever World Cup Final goal !

Also; a slimmer, faster Colin Potts would be crossing 'em in for Preston or Burnley in the Coca Cola

Most on the Stalybridge forum are sad to see him go...sounds like he's scored some good goals for them so I hope he can do the same at BSP level. He seems to have flair and skill so hopefully if he's got a good attitude, he may have the potential of Carlos Logan + good attitude = a good final ball and some goals!!!
