yep, just been confirmed by a Crewe fan on RR text, who lives next door to the ground. I asked him to nip round there to confirm the H/T score, but his mate had texted him  ::)

3-1 now, Phelan made it 3-0 then they scored a decent goal apparently.

Ash played in midfield second half - solid enough. Buzz played the whole first half and also looked worth his place. Brooke headed his goal well, but Mitchley didn't impress me. Watmore was excellent. Phelan was the star turn in the second half, and Sam Grimshaw looked very good when he switched to midfield later. Tidy, competent performance overall.

Can't really disagree with that synopsis, Phil, especially as I was standing next to you for most of today's match!

Watmore could be a really interesting player for us next season.

His pace; balance and the ability both to go past defenders and evade tackles make him an exciting prospect.

Will need to see Matt Doughty up against much more demanding opponents before we know whether he can do a job for us.
However, his cross which set up the opening goal was a gem.

With the exception of Phelan, there wasn't too much to write home about in the second half line-up, to be honest.

Beesley missed a sitter for Nantwich in the second half.

Sinnott still preferring his monogrammed tracksuit ensemble at this stage of the proceedings.

The man must think he's got a job for life or something...once again two fingers to the loyal fans who didn't go but just heard about it on the internet!!
