Apparently Darlo rescue group have 50k to save club, administrator to meet them at secret location in 30mins. So how does square with the debts supposed to be 1.8 Million ? It not going to work is it ?

Reports from outside the ground say that a car pulled up outside the ground and two people got out ran to the door and demanded to be let in as thay have the money...

An 'overseas' fan has stumped up 150k plus 50k from the save the club trust and 10k from the fans trust.

This is just enough to see the club survive till the end of the month!

terrifying costs.

Just die. Pull the plug and take this terminally ill club off life support. They are utterly f**ked in the long term, even if they found the money, best thing they can do is form a Phoenix.

Why waste 150k on a lost cause? They'd be better off using it to fund a new club.

I agree it would be worth them saving the money, then investing it in a phoenix club.

However, you can see why buying time is appealing. There apparently was a viable bid for the club, but Raj Singh refused to relinquish control without getting back any money (something he previously said he wasn't fussed about). There is obviously a glimmer of hope that with a bit of tweaking, they could get the club sold. Which would ensure a) they wouldn't drop down to a pub league, and most crucially b) they would have somewhere to play. What separates them from successful phoenix clubs like Chester is the lack of any viable ground if they lose the current one.

Very difficult times.

Seems they live to fight on, well for 3 more games. Deal struck with administrator.

Exactly, if they put out a scratch team that could, or would, skew the table, i.e. three easy wins for Fl££twood/Hayes/Yawk.

Deal has been done to play the next two games... I repeat this has cost somewhere in the region of £210k

I'm going to be slightly controversial but if clubs spend like there's no tomorrow and can't back it up it's cheating against those who do it properly and they have to face the consequences ie alty get relegated. This is happening at to many clubs too often. Darlo should be punished to stop it happening year on year it's embarrassing to the BSP.

Good point about the ground issue. I suspect that's probably the main reason for keeping them alive. Look at Scarborough compared to, as you say Chester or Halifax.
