I've had a look at their attendances and they seem to get around 150 for home games.
Their attendances have ranged from as high as 189 and as low as 49!!!
I reckon in theory we could out number them for this game.
-
i think they'll up that to 400 plus us on the day at least
-
Aren't they one of these strangely bankrolled tinpot clubs? Brayson banging the goals in, a few ex Yaaaark players too. It'll be tricky. Don't know about this one yet, an expensive pain in the arse to get to from that London whichever way you go, may save my cash for the first round ;)

i reckon 4-1 to the alty little elam 2 danylyk should see us in the next round
-
Ossett Albion play in the same league, and look what we did to them.
They will have their tails up if they keep score at 0-0 or even go 1 up, but there the sort of team that once down heads drop and they're harder to motivate.

I spent four years in Newcastle, non league football up there is in the main ignored. Look at Gateshead in their Conference days, 300-400 rattling round the ground. I expect they could be a good side, nice facilities, a legendary footballing hotbed, lots of decent players to choose from in the catchment area. I really think they'll give us a game.
Crowd wise I'm unsure, its in the Newcastle equivalent of Hale Barns be there such a thing, rugby country.
I'm hoping to go for old times sake, note to London Alty, very near the airport, an easy trip if you can get a decent deal on BMI/BA from Heathrow, could top the train. As I said in an earlier thread, not a good idea to wear Alty home shirts in the City Centre, many Geordies ask questions later. Newcastle/Sunderland is like River Plate/Boca Juniors. It'll be fine around the ground/local area though.
-
Another option for London Alty - you could try Jet2, they fly from Gatwick to Newcastle.
-
at least 1-4 will make Daisy happy!
-
I would take a crappy 1 nil away. It doesn't matter. Any kind of win would do. As long as we are in the next round. If anybody thinks it is going to be easy there are talking gonads.
-
Pretty sure Flybe do the Gatwick/Newcastle leg as well - so there's another option, and you may get to fly on an aircraft with Kevin Keegan emblazoned on the fuselage.
-
Mad Frankie - are you sure Jet2 fly Gatwick/Newcastle ?
I cant see any London Airport on their website
-
in my alternate life as a west ham fan we went to newcastle last year. we flew from stanstead with easyjet which was dead easy and dead cheap
newcastle is an absolutely belting city to go out in, and while i'm sure red and white stripes arent advisable, in several bars people knew we were west ham and there was no hassle
make a weekend of it, totally worthwhile

Sorry, looks like the have thrown in the towel on that route like they did on the Manchester-Gatwick route last year.

I can second this, put it this way there are'nt many black coloured cat's alive in newcastle :o

a shame I won't be there. Don't like newcastle anyway. I once saw a tramp eating a dead (raw) pigeon on the steps that go down to the river side from the station. That's about sums up the place for me.
BUT Newcastle BS are going to be well up for this game, it's the FA Cup. This is a tough fixture.
