Title: Brian Deane "its on"

I'm not one to gossip but I've just seen Brian deane at tonights match buying a souvenir programmes. When asked if he the world class player was joining us, he never denyied it. I can't understand why he was using the name Val ... Is this a nickname from his blades days?
