No game v Dover on Saturday.
Rearrange another game or give the pitch another break?
I'd be inclined to get that extra training session in on Saturday

Kings Lynn is looking 50 - 50 too.
They are looking to furlough some players and give others a wage cut.
-
Kings Lynn have now announced they are going to play on with a weakened squad.

They know they can't get relegated, but it does somewhat lower the integrity of the league!

will we notice?

How does it work when a club stops playing during a season? Do the teams who have taken points from Dover lose them, including goals scored?

No decision yet, but I would imagine their season expunged! What penalty they will get it is hard to say, but I think they might end up with a points reduction next season as relegation unlikely, and I think they may volunteer to go to a southern league to cut costs: just guesswork mind.

Technically, the National League have the power to expel Dover for failing to fulfil their fixtures. As harsh as this maybe considered in the current environment, it occurs to me that it's an opportunity to even up the number of teams to 22.

Understand where you're coming from, but I'd be astonished if they were expelled from the GMVC (or whatever it's called these days) on that basis.

Prepare to be amazed......

Interestingly, Boreham Wood have had their application for a loan turned down on the basis that they have enough money in the club to carry on until March next year.
I wonder which other clubs have applied and are about to be disappointed

Perhaps in that case clubs who get loans turned down could apply to Boreham Wood for financial assistance 😂

That was something maybe certain clubs didn't take into account: that what they believe is a need for money is different to that which the government thinks is need...
...
...
...
that and that the government probably never had the intention of giving out any more money to something as popular as football (they don't like popular things for the common man like pubs either!)

Halifax have applied for a loan of about 400k.

good luck with that.

I wonder what % our gate money is of our income, and what % of our gate money is through STs.
Another point, is it more beneficial for the club to have a bigger % of gate money as ST holder (guaranteed on a lower game rate) or via walk in.

I couldn't even get a mortgage from the Halifax! 😉

They're getting a bit of extra help...

It was mentioned recently that we had 327 season ticket holders, so you can compare that to the average gate, or what we think it would have been this season.
I can also remember the club saying in the past that they did particularly welcome the season ticket money which came in during the summer, when there was no other gate money coming in while players were being signed, even though the total figure would be less than if people attended and paid for every match as walk-ins.
I couldn't comment on gate money compared to other income, and that is a very interesting question, although it may be commercially sensitive.

Gate / ST money as a percentage of income : Do not think it is sensitive.....pretty sure that Graham R or another Director mentioned it at one of the fans forums a few years ago and it was reported by JL on the website. Think it was surprisingly low...something like only a third of income with rest coming via sponsorship and other commercial activity
