I went to uni in Liverpool and I can assure you that it is an unwritten rule that has to be abided, any lectures finishing after 5pm are optional for both student and lecturer.

You can now call the rule to play. There is a further rule regarding the study of comparative peace processes going hand-in-hand with sporting events with a local rivalry. They are one and the same, in a thereabout way, so all students must attend the game with you, as a live case study of the breaking points being tested of such a peace process.

Me, on the other hand. Im not allowed to go. There would have been a severe breaking of the peace process between me and the volatile mrs beaver had i booked those flights as threatened!

Ah, the Scouse solution to any conflict, they should send someone from Toxteth over to the Middle East to try it...

What with Liverpool being an Irish colony I find the greater challenge is to make the Catholic bigots (there's always at least one) see that the IRA are not, in fact, laudable heroes who fought the evil British. Mind you, with the footy on I might just nod in agreement and dismiss the class after 20 minutes

If the last three Alty vs Vics games are anything to go by I think damp squib of Cheshire would be more appropriate.

The last three games have been crap. Very little quality on either side and in each game only one team looking interested.

If you don't score tonight, you should hang your heads in shame!
