Whilst I admire your optimism BA that's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read.

You don't think the early goal has filled them with confidence then?

Sounds like Smithy forgot that Stu's not in nets, he often gives him outfield player passes because he's so good with his feet.

Given the they had scored the early goal I was pleased to see they hadn't dramatically improved from Tuesday but "only" profited from our mistake.  Obviously much better that they hadn't scored at all ...

Although from the next two updates it appears my optimism was misplaced!

6 fouls so far by our hosts (to Alty's 1). I wonder if there will be 11 v 11 by the end of the match.

Perhaps Eastbourne are looking to stifle any quality. I hope the ref does not let then get away with it.

We rarely seem to perform well in that county.

Our record at Crawley is pretty woeful; we lost at Eastbourne last season....and then there was last year's debacle at Lewes....

60 mins: Eastbourne win corner; head over. 1-1 still and still fairly scrappy on a bobbly pitch
63 mins: McAliskey on for Lawton who was victim of studs up tackle by Smart who only saw yellow

Poor pitch
poor match
poor tackle

Having been at the game I'd definitely say two points dropped. I though we were the better side for most of teh game and definitely the only team with a cutting edge.
The played the ball around quite well in midfield but their balls into the box were generally poor. Defensively they were over physical and I thoughteh ref let them get away with a lot of unfair challenges.
We struggled for the for the first 20-30 mins but then started to get into it and I thought we were the better team for the rest of the game.

Clee was better in the second half when he attacked more than defended. Great work to setup the disallowed goal. Can't see how that was offside. It seemed to be played square.
Senior and Denham looked dangerous once we started to get the ball in to feet.

We were a lot better than when we came here last season. They were no better.
