Has anyone ever heard of Mark Harris? Apparently he wrote a book about Altrincham FC called Kingdom Come (1995ish) I have been looking for a copy but i can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help?

Former Chairman of Alty and now a Director of Witton Albion.

The Alty Club Shop may have a dusty copy lurking in their archives?

The author himself still resides in Timperley....so perhaps he might have a spare copy?

He'd even sign it, I'd guess for a small donation to a certain other club in Cheshire who play in a similar kit to our own  ;)

I'm not really into books but this one sounds good. 18 hours from extinction. This club is the footballing equivalent of a cat (9 lives)

Comes up on E-bay now and again.

Try Sportspages, the London shop had a couple last time I was in.

I managed to get a copy on ebay a while back.  If all else fails you can certainly borrow mine.

Best part of the book is Brian Flynn's 'honest' appraisals of the squad.  e.g. Simon Burton - innocuous on his debut, dreadful 10 days later at Northwich and thankfully never seen again.  Or Dave Martindale who was described in just 2 words: truly dreadful!  Or Leroy May: Living in Wolverhampton and not being able to drive was always going to be a problem.

Sports Pages went bust a few years ago, sadly, used to be the first place I visited when up in Manchester.  I went past the London shop the other day and I think it's now a shoe shop :o(  Was really good in Manchester, particularly on a match day (Alty playing away obviously) had a good atmosphere just to browse through all the unusual and often signed books.  They had a blackboard keeping up with the latest scores of local Manchester clubs by the till.  I never left the shop without spending quite a lot.........

God knows where my copy went, I do however remember running across the pitch at Welling to collect it from Mark Harris who was sitting in the posh seats at the San Siro of the South.
