Slightly off topic but can anyone tell me who was the last alty born or bred England international ?

Might not be any as jadleka is from Sale,Nicky summerbee did play b international and u21 level

Wikipedia says Manchester , he's from Baguley

The hospital is in Baguley so could that be why. The majority of Alty people under 35 would have been born in Wythenshawe but wouldn't class themselves as being from there.

I think David Bardsley might've gone to Bradbury.
I'm also fairly certain an old Rothmans Football Yearbook had him down as being born in Alty.

Neil Mellor (Liverpool early to mid 2000s) was from Timperley - not sure if he an U21 albeit born in the centre of the universe whilst his Dad Ian was gigging at The Wednesday
