Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Must win?

Would be an outrageous decision if we sacked him now. Bloke needs some time to give it a proper go at the very least

Our current squad won't win that league. Just not enough desire or commitment.
Our current squad would be hard pushed to avoid being relegated from this league!
I continued them after leaving the ground. Andrew and I often do it remotely when being at the game isn't viable
I think Dan Jones might like to explain why he removed the account. No apology from him in there.
I'd definitely keep
Densmore (with a full pre season)
Cyrus
Richman
Taylor
Miller
Clee
Reeves - don't believe he's become a bad player over night.perfect opportunity next season to reignite himself
Jury is out on Brownhill,Deasy, Owens, Hannigan Moult, Evans, Lawrie, Lynch, McWilliams and Gary Jones although I'd be tempted to put Moult in the Reeves category.
Heathcote is a strange one as he's still developing. I think it's probably worth keeping him to see how he adapts to the evostik personally
Arent Deasey and Hannigan on contract for next season? agree with most but not sure on Cyrus and think Reeves will go
Watched it all. Firstly, thanks to those recording it.
Absolutely shambolic, the presenters - poor. The chairman - weak, unrehearsed, the outcome! Nothing we hadn't heard before.
Have to say the staging was embarrassing too. Chairman speaks, open up to the floor, first person to speak is Heathcote. Followed by there's your next board member - Sorry f**k off. Let's breed more nepotism.
Graham spoke about the quality of Sam - his son first! Really!! . He kicks it up in the air everytime he has the ball. Also he criticised Reeves, who is probably our highest earner and can't get a game - now we know why!
There's a 5 year plan - not detailed or explained.
Ian Watmore totally protected the board throughout. At no point tonight were they under pressure, apart from two questions (same person) which they skirted around.
Paul Diane - sh*thouse, other board members not interested in talking. Thought Bill Watering spoke passionately.
Unless the whole board resign (excluded Bill) with whatever consequences that brings, we will be as frustrated in future years as we are today.
Shambles...
Expect sponsors, investors to desert the club like the proverbia sinking ship. Long live the sports hall....
Terrible game and atmosphereit's so sad to see . We were always known as being noisy and having good singers
We get out sung by harrogates 10 man army now
There were a lot of singers missing yesterday
Rough times
"We look after our own here"
Yeah then they f**k off to a relegation rival now we're on the path to oblivion
better players? more tenacity? I don't know who you've been watching or have you been taken in my by the bullsh*t interviews with our management team.do you think we should have kept Harvey ? .What was Newby like?Looked lively, if not a little lightweight.
Well, I'm going to be controversial tonight and not popular ...but I'm gonna say it. And, having been to every home game and only missed 2 away games all season I feel I have the right ...but I was pissed off with our fans picking out 2 players ( Cyrus and Hannigan) for direct stick today. Booing the ref for not sending Cyrus off, and replying to the Fylde support who were chanting Toms name with " you can have him back " is out of order. Particularly as these guys were right in front of the fans...I wonder if you'd be as brave on your own or say them face to face?
Not too sure what you expected today, and I applaud you for making the effort to go, but it's counter productive to offer support by travelling then to loudly slag off individuals (who are not making errors deliberately). Plus, I happened to think Hannigan played well today - but of course that is personal opinion.
I'm all for the Roweley chants --he does need to go -- but he's not on the pitch and I was unhappy at these 2 players being picked out like that.
Tend to agree if I'm honest but I think and hope that they were more tongue in cheek chants than anything laughing at our own demise, especially that of Hannigan. I think most supporters would agree that he alone isn't the problem this season.
As for people saying Doughty out etc I'd have to disagree, no manager can undo what has happened here in such a short space of time, you'd need a miracle. You can't just get rid of every single manager that comes through the door if you don't see instant results, it's going to take a lot of time to turn this around.
No, because I saw absolutely no fight from him whatsoever, we actually got worse I'd say plus the players he brought in added nothing. I've seen some better players under doughty already and a little bit more tenacity. I think that's earned him some more time if nothing else. Besides the season is gone now, what manager in his right mind would want to come here until the end of the campaign?
