Tepid. I hope Phill doesn't try and bother to pull the wool over fans eyes.

Poor all over the park. No striker incoming.

Relegation battle commences.

Bit early to be calling a relegation battle isn’t it? Considering we’ve played 2 home games all season. Also, I don’t recall Phil ever trying to “pull the wool” over anyone’s eyes?

I suspect finding a quality conference standard striker who’s going to bang in 15+ goals a year after the season has started is probably a lot harder than just chucking money at someone and hoping it works. Parkinson and Sorvs will be no doubt scouring squads for someone that can come in and make a difference in that department but I’m guessing it will take time to find the right player.

As for today, seeing us lose a game isn’t cause for any sort of dissection to find “where we went wrong”. The fact of it is we will probably lose more games than we win this season. We’ve made a fantastic start to the campaign especially with the amount of away games we’ve had and every defeat we encounter in this division is not cause for concern or a call to upheave the squad.

Having said that I do recognise that we definitely need that poacher to put the finishing touches to our attacks. It’s the missing link to our play but I’m also encouraged that we’re picking up draws and even wins on the road without a recognised striker. It’s certainly not relegation form anyway. Trust in parky to find the player we need. I’m sure he will but as the most sort after position in football it’ll take some time.

He must either be injured or just regaining fitness to have dropped that far You’d assume.

Superb result to go and get a point away at Hartlepool but obviously feels a little bit like 2 points dropped at the moment. Especially impressive since we played sunday afternoon too. Well done to Phil and the lads.

Superb draw today under the circumstances. Any points gained away from home in this league is a great achievement in general. Well done to the lads

Appreciate it is only our second pre season but not great at all.

Need another wide player, centre mid, full back at least.

2 completely different XI’s each half and a sprinkling of new players and trialists in our second pre season match.
I doubt the performance or result means anything in relation to how we will fare this season.

Incredible achievement. Still can’t believe it well done lads. We’re back!

I find the club shop quite difficult to find and access. More so than how it should be in my opinion
It seems buried on the club site and isn’t featured at all on twitter

I’d potentially think about having a link on the front page of the site maybe in the top corner and perhaps one in the bio on twitter
Especially now with people being unable to get about so easily.

It’s similar with the gofundme. I’m not sure if we’re allowed to advertise it on club site or twitter but maybe there could be a link to that at the top of the fans forum even just to make it all more visible.

Who booed them off on Tuesday? I didn't hear any if there was. Losing a battling game to the team that are probably going to win the division is not a booing off offence.

There were boos on The Golf Road. It was a dire performance at times.

Who boos a team that’s in the playoff positions of a league they’ve just been promoted to?

With Some of the replies on here you’d think we were in a relegation battle instead of coming off the back of winning a league title and now pushing, at minimum, for a playoff place almost immediately after promotion. Baffling.

Three in a row now against County.

Three times a very average side have strolled passed us. Maybe change it up next time?

As for the players, so much for wanting revenge.

On to Guiseley but I'll be spending New Year's Day elshwere.

Stockport were a very well organised side who were better than us all over the pitch today. They look far from average in this division.
I don’t see what revenge has to do with it? Why would that make you play any better?

Bummer. Terrible conditions and they wanted it more throughout the game.
Prince Haywood everywhere again. I liked him in the first game and would have been a good signing for us. Energy of Richman but more pace.
I agree with some changes but maybe not to the back 4 unless necessary. Wasn't really that impressed with White but too early to judge, especially on that pitch.
Hulme was MOTM.
Still would like to see the full backs higher up the pitch. In the first half Hampson could have overlapped on a few occasions. Dens is our best  full back at getting forward.
Just my opinion but we need to be looking for a new keeper. They scored two excellent goals but Thompson makes me nervous on crosses and I think Harrison showed a lack of confidence with him by not heading the ball back to him which then led to their winning goal.

Probably a bit harsh on Thompson I'd say. Can't remember him doing anything particularly wrong plus he pulled off 1 or 2 very good saves..at this level I think you'd struggle to find a keeper that is strong in every department. I don't  think he's a weak link in the team anyway and certainly doesn't warrant changing at this point in the season.

Good result, Poole is a class above. Still shaky at the back, we need a new keeper and an natural striker if we get these we should be up there.

What did Thompson do wrong tonight?

Nothing...apart from kicking it wildly into touch at least 4 times. His distribution is gash...even from dead balls he shanks it into the crowd. Really not good enough. Their keeper gave him a lesson in kicking tonight. He really is dreadful

You're going to label him dreadful for missing a few kicks? His distribution needs a bit of work but it isn't that bad, their keeper had a few dodgy kicks of his own tonight I seem to recall as well.
