Alas, he is leaving us to get more first team football. He is still only 30 so I hope he can get what he is looking for. He will do someone a good job, not least with his character & being a great team man.
All the best.

Good luck Scotty. I hope you find a decent club and stay injury free. Thanks for all you have done for Altrincham Football Club.
-
Totally agree with the above. A fantastic servant to the club!
All the best Scotty!

It's a pity that he fell just short of 300 appearances for Alty but I do believe that his decision to move on is the right one and in the best interests of both parties.
The one thing that I will always remember and admire him for was his hugely significant contribution towards the end of the 2003/04 Unibond Premier League season, when Alty were really struggling to qualify for the Conference North.
Scotty had missed a few matches after suffering a nasty facial injury but he returned (probably against medical advice?) for the final four matches of the tense conclusion to that season and helped the Robins to sneak into the Conference North (and we all know what occurred the following season!), even registering a goal in a crucial victory over Worksop Town at Moss Lane on that extremely nervy night back in April 2004.
Oh, and that goal at Hucknall Town a year later wasn't bad, either!
Thanks for all your efforts in the cause of Altrincham FC and sincere best wishes for the future.
-
Great goal, last game away at Hucknall...........think Joz Mitten layed it on.....anyway sorry to see Scotty go
-
Good lukc Scotty. Been a great player and servant to Alty.
-
All the best Gary;you've been loyal servant of Alty and always had a friendly word for the fans.
It's a pity that you were sent off in your last game but, I say, that just emphasised your commitment to the Alty cause.
Keep in touch;we will watch your next move with interest
-
Pretty much what has already been said...
All the best Scotty.
-
Sorry to see you go just short of 300 appearances Scotty. The club and the dressing room is losing a real character! Probably the right thing to do though.
Good luck Scotty!
-
Oh and let me add after the Weymouth game the first text I got was one from Scotty, sayin the support was great and that the players were sorry.... and hoped it didn't ruin our weekend..
100% nice lad.
-
All the best Scotty, sad to see you go but i hope you find another decent club
-
All the best for the future Scotty
-
Ditto everyone above - a new addition to JL's legends I would say. Many thanks for all your hard work in getting Alty back in the top league, all the best Scotty.

Say's it all really, when a player does that, if he does what he has done for us elsewhere they will be chuffed to bits
-
All the best for the future and thanks for your dedication and loyalty to Alty over the years.
-
All the best Scotty

Just about a legend - the play-off at Nunney, Kettering and Stoke were the true test of club loyalty.
The red card at Weymouth was so unfair.
Will miss you scouser!
Good luck!

He showed in that post match interview what a decent & sporting chap he is. Like Maddog, he'd be a good coach.
A fond farewell Scotty

The stream of the Weymouth game showed his hurt in the dressing room after the card, as an aside it was an intrusion into a private moment too, but sums the guy up. Good luck Scotty.
-
Great servant, superb charcter.
Surely one of the funniest chaps ever to play for Alty.
Good luck Scotty!
-
Good luck Scotty. Top man.
One of the few who knows what it means to play for our club.
-
Good Luck Scotty wherver you end up playing. You will be missed. The pie/burger sales will go down at all the BSP grounds this season, but seriously, Scotty has been one of those players we could always rely on. :) ;) ::)

Is this the same Gary Scott that, after you decided to have a word in the ear of the keeper at southport 2 seasons ago (that long!! :o) on the pitch, told the steward you were his brother so you wouldnt get into trouble??
100% nice lad. Deserves all the best.
-
Will be strange without scotty at the club.
Alty legend in my eyes. Good luck Scotty!!
