Seriously though, cannot see why our goal was disallowed.  For the penalty, it clearly wasn't, but the ref was way too far away and had managed to get about 5 players in between him and the ball.

Exactly the sort of thing that defenders get away with in their own box, but penalised for when on the attacking side.

Simply reinforces my opinion based on the view from the Main Stand last Saturday.

One of the most abject penalty decisions that I've seen at Moss Lane/The J Davidson Stadium in years.

Never a penalty, that's for sure...

But to find a positive: what doesn't seem to have been mentioned is that that was quite a stormer of a goal from Wilkinson (albeit with a possible helpful deflection)- he's making a bit of a habit of getting on the score sheet. That's got to be a positive in amongst the disappointment.

Missed Saturday (don't often miss home games) so thanx to Alty TV for the quality highlights. 2 ridiculous refereeing decisions and some poor finishing on a couple of other occasions. On the basis of that 10 mins we'd have won 9 times out of 10

Not being there myself thanks for these.

No wonder people were seething at that penalty decision. Shocking.

Should still beating teams two divisions below even with decisions like that

On the penalty he gets a very clear heavy contact with the ball before the attacker even touches him. How can the ref have missed the ball flying away at 90 deg? it beggars belief.
