Didn't he play for us in the 50's for a while? Perhaps when Jimmy Morris was manager from 55-61? (I think they both played at Stockport together.)

A look at his career stats shows he wasn't apparently with anybody between finishing at Bolton (55-6) and going to Strockport (57-8). I suppose it's conceivable he was at Moss Lane, but I was a mere stripling back then and don't remember him.
