For the Halifax game a week on Saturday, I have donated the squad with PINK shirt's for the game, that will be auctioned afterwards with all monies generated going to a local cancer charity. All squad players will have their shirts with names/numbers attached, so if you want to own one, and donate to a worthwile cause at the same time, contact Karen Rowley at the club with your bid for your favourite player's shirt. The team will also be wearing special pink socks, the same design as currently worn. These will be available for sale as well. Shirt's will also be availble to order in sizes 22/24 upto XXL, @ £20, again all proceeds to cancer charity.

Thanks Ian. I can't get it to upload here either as the forum software seems to be broken for image uploads. The pink kit great though and a very worthy cause.

Great initiative, well done to all involved!
This ties in perfectly with an awareness week a few of us are running at Bristol university.
https://www.facebook.com/bristolpinkweek?fref=ts. I am contacting the local clubs here to see if they will support too.
-
Are you doing a live auction after the match in the CSH or is it being done by contacting Karen in advance only?

Which local cancer charity has been nominated to benefit from this initiative?
-
Is Tom Marshalls shirt still up for grabs Ian, or has a bid been accepted?

Which local cancer charity has been nominated to benefit from this initiative?
I think it's St Ann's Hospice.

Tom's has been accepted, but others are still available, best speaking to Karen. Regarding chosen charity, it is Altrincham's local hospice.
-
A very worthwhile charity. They did a great job looking after my Dad before he passed away a few years ago now.
I think it's St Ann's Hospice.

I thought it was an auction?
-
it is, but club have put a maximum bid on shirt's.
-
Why? Are there some sort of legal or tax reasons?
-
Reason being that we felt that once a "certain figure" was reached, organising an auction over the phone and email becomes very complicated, and that "figure" was considered more than adequate, hope that makes things clear?

Is this part of any national cancer awareness initiative, and what is the name of the local charity being supported?

Will we have a bit of media/press there to look at our shirts?
