Ali had quite a unique style for this level; most clubs don't have a player like him and don't necessarily need him either.

For all his excellence for us, he wasn't the finished article (his style could land us in trouble when occasionally mugged of possession) and I firmly believe he is replaceable - it just won't be on a like-for-like basis as that would be impossible.

Looking at Harrogate, I believe Ed Francis is local (former City U18 captain from Poynton) and seems to be mates with Kirby on social media, left footed DM who can cover at CB and LB...

Just out of interest, who would be on everyone's shopping list - players that you think would be feasible?

I'm always interested to hear about players I might not know so much about myself that others rate.
