How is it Worcester didn't get a free kick for the back pass at the end of the game.

Yes, I'd like to know the answer to that. I thought it was Stockport County's training ground until recently.

If you are going to try to rationalise things where do you stop? Investing in ANY football club is a stupid thing to do if you expect to become richer as a result.

So why bother. We are all hoping to have a successful season and see the team promoted but to what end? So we can see the team lose more than they win next year.

One of my mates supports Oldham and is pretty fed up of seeing them lose on a regular basis. He's actually said a couple of times that things might be better if they got relegated to Division 2. I'm not sure if he's right. Will the revenue streams shrink too leading to smaller budgets and an even weaker team.

To go back to my earlier post I don't believe that he did pay to play but it did strike me as a decent possibility. Decent player, wants to fulfill a dream before his career ends, comes to an arrangement with the board, Bingo.

Like I said, it crossed my mind but I don't have any evidence whatsoever.

It doesn't really matter. We were planning to get promotion without him at Christmas so nothing has changed.

Who knows what to think.

In one of my madder moments it did occur to me that he might have "Paid to play" to fulfil a lifetime dream.

"A  bird does not fly on one wing"

What about a bird with no wings?

At least the team won't be screwed up to accommodate Danny (no disrespect to the guy). It would be great if we could get back to handing out 5 goal drubbing but that's probably not going to happen.

The team on the pitch at the start of the season were criticised for how poorly they were playing despite getting the results.

Yes I was referring to the Horan bit although the whole thread puts Danny in a good light.

Don't we have an unwritten rule that we don't pay for players? I remember someone on here complaining in the summer

I can't remember it being discussed on here

I've been critical of Perry in the past. Couldn't fault his workrate today. Worked hard at Stalbridge too. His partnership with Reeves is really coming on. Great to see.

Different calibre of opposition today and we stood up to the test.

Stockport have given Gainsboro a thrashing so hopefully they'll be feeling fragile on Tuesday.

I know. It might have helped the keeper a bit more if they'd been able to keep the ball further up the pitch but as soon as there was any kind of clearance the ball just came straight back.

I hope the rest of the team aren't reading this. They'll be wondering if they have to turn up!

If the game was still going on it would still be Staybridge 0. The best they could have hoped for was a 0 - 0 draw.

His Christmas Day tweets were very up beat. Maybe he'll start again in the Autumn.

The keeper will be having nightmares about the first goal for weeks. The second took a deflection and the keeper was unsighted.

From there it just got worse. They did improve a bit once they were kicking down the slope with the wind to their backs but only once did our defence come under any real pressure.

The keeper looked a lonely figure at the end. He couldn't get off the pitch fast enough.

In view of the apology their manager made after the last drubbing it will be interesting to see how he thought today went.
