The admin dept at Accy Stanley have done it again!  This time no coaching licence for James Beattie, despite two reminders from the Footy League. Very generous of them indeed to suspend £15000 of the fine to give them yet another chance to get their house in order.

I'm not sure why you need to have a coaching license, it's not as if you're going to kill anyone.

Clubs should be able to hire whoever they want. Like much licensing this is just a restriction on trade enforced by those who already have licences.

Well, whether it is or it isn't is beside the point.

Having to have a license to coach grown men at football is just weird and is done for no other reason than to restrict the new supply of coaches and put money in the pocket of UEFA.

I do have sympathy with that view, but the rules currently state they are needed. And Accy screwed up. Again.
