York FA Trophy tickets
« on: February 17, 2023, 09:36:54 PM »

York site says they'll be on sale from Thursday at 10am for Alty fans (although our website says Wednesday). Oddly it's a discounted game (£10 a ticket) and they aren't opening the West or North stands  :o

Are they thinking it's going to be a struggle to fill the ground? 🧐

It seems strange. I could understand them doing that for the midweek match.

On the basis of the three sections we've been given (EA, EB and EC) we shoild have a total allocation of 1,216 seats. Reckon that'll just about do  :)

Now I'm confused. As of this evening, the York ticket site is showing that section EC, which is meant to be our overflow area if EA and EB sell out, has been opened. That makes sense as EA and EB are nearly full but it's also showing EC as practically full too. Given that seats weren't available in EC till today that doesn't seem to add up.

It did that last week also. I think they’ve opened EC and will put a certain number of seats on sale in the block until they sell them then release a few more

Confusion returns with us being moved to the West Stand.  WG WH and WI appear to be accessed by turnstiles 13 and 14 as shown on the match tickets. Turnstiles 15 to 18 are at the other end of the ground.

Last I counted on Tuesday morning it was just over 600 (based on the availability shown on the seating plan). It's impossible to tell now that everything's been moved around but slightly concerning is that the capacity of the three sections we've now been given is only 707. That's actually lower than the two sections, EA and EB, we've been moved from (and significantly lower than than the three sections, EA, EB and EC, they had said would be ours if needed).

I thought we were being moved to give us more room? Is that not the case then?

Glad that's straightforward.
Looking at the stadium plan on the match ticket turnstiles 15 to 18 give access to A B C and D whilst we've been allocated G H and I. That's what's a mystery.

You can tell we’re not used to this…

Just trust the information that’s been provided. I’m sure they have their reasons for opening certain turnstiles and using certain blocks. If in doubt, ask a steward.

Believe York have said just go to the west turnstiles and disregard what it says on the ticket. As Andrew said, just ask a steward if you need guidance.

PS. Turnstiles 15 to 18

Not on the basis of the sections we had and the sections we've been given. Looks like it's more about segregation than giving us extra capacity.
