This gets brought up on MCFC forums a bit too.

I think your outraged PL social media types just love a good conspiracy theory. Fact of the matter is he is an Alty fan, always has been since a young age being an AGS old boy. Unfortunately no matter how many times this gets said I think it's entered popular myth now that he's a United fan. Stupid as he is first and foremost a very good refereee.
