Will the Caledonian Alty Forum legend VofD's boyhood team prevail against Hibernian and Duncan Watmore....?!

The Non League Paper's anonymous Ground Hopper columnist was present at the J Davidson Stadium for last Saturday's Skrill North Promotion Final and his/her report appears on page six of today's issue.

Their final ratings (out of a maximum of five) were as follows:

Ticket value: 3.5;

Programme: 2;

Food: 4;

Bar: 3;

Facilities: 2;

Welcome: 4;

Match: 3;

Overall: 3.5.

Hereford win 2-1 at Aldershot and survive on goal difference.

Meanwhile, FCUM are back in the play-offs again.

Finally, the MEN sets aside its obsession with FCUM and gives us some extended coverage.

Mind you, there are a few blunders by the author of the piece, including listing Easter Monday's fixture against Vauxhall Motors as being a 7.45pm kick-off.

There's also a photograph of James Walshaw and a few words on his scoring exploits this season.

Head to page 49.

I am unable to locate the article online at present.

Wilmslow Alty of this very forum, I believe?

You'd think that he could have namedropped Radio Robins though:

If this is, indeed, the lady I am thinking of, I recollect that she was a regular supporter of the Robins when I first started watching them circa 1971.

If I recall correctly, she was also the secretary of the Altrincham FC Supporters Club for several years...?

Lived on Ashfield Road, Hale?

I'm sure that the likes of George Heslop, Noel Shield and Ian & Dave in the Club Shop (plus any other 'vintage' Alty devotees) would remember her.

No coverage whatsoever in either the Sale & Altrincham Advertiser or the Sale & Altrincham Messenger.

What happened there then?

Is Flynny too busy putting up photographs of Caro Emerald in his shed?
