Having a discussion with a lad at work about the level of womens football and the topic of Alty came up.

Who do you think would win in a match between England ladies and Alty?

I went for Alty to win 6-1

This  :D

Nah, seriously. I've watched a couple of women's games and the standard is quite good in terms of technique. Obviously the women are a lot slower and less powerful though. And women goalkeepers seem to be awful, on the whole. I'd fully expect Alty to win comfortably.

I think they'd score more than 1 against us...

Was Robbie Williams in one of those defences?

I think Brian Summerskill has played for England ladies a few times.

We should arrange a friendly against them, get dominos to sponsor it seeing as at least 30 blokes will be getting their own tea that evening.

Thats bang out of order, and I find it hugely offensive. Are you stuck in the past or something?

To think that we'd all default to pizza? There is much more choice in the takaway market these days! Youve not even considered microwave dinners!

On a serious note, Team GB ladies play their first match on Wednesday 25th July. it would make a good pre-season friendly for us and a good olympic warm up for team GB.

Not sure how we'd go about arranging it though, are women even allowed to play men (i'm thinking of FIFA restrictions and injury insurance etc.)
