Not really, because form goes out of the window in the FA Cup.

Vauxhall weren't great, but did try and play football the right way, but we were really good on the day. Some of our goals were just excellent.

I note that your Macc relegation watch has gone a bit quiet of late.

Have got another fiddle on or have the Iranians just pumped a load more dough in?

Fair play to macc they're a club no bigger than us and they've spent 15 years in the league and even now they are very comfortable mid table conference side

Probably because we are unlikely to meet again in competitive football as hopefully we will go up this season and you get relegated.

There's never been any Iranians. We're just making the best of what we have.

A friend of mine played for Macclesfield for a number of years. They were bankrolled for over a decade by two Iraqi brothers that are telecommunication millionaires. And still hold a stake in the club.

Any team that scores seven in a game it's because the opposition was rubbish, not because you were good.

They haven't bankrolled anything for half of that time.

I was reading that macc were staging a legends V all stars match...£15 entry in what is described as a vital fundraiser for desperately needed funds to keep the club alive.

I also heard that the Iraq bloke stopped seeing his macc bird a few years ago coinciding with macc's slide out of the football league......

not seen any blue prints for their new ground but I'm imagining it'll be pretty soulless which wont help their dwindling attendances....

I know which club is on the up in Cheshire  :D

I would argue that this was not the case when we beat Merthyr Tydfil 9-2. We were just unstoppable that afternoon.

Will the all stars be as famous as the ones who played the Alty legends a few weeks ago?
