Excellent coverage so far and nice to see the smiling face of John Laidler in the background :)

Flippin 'eck ... don't want much do you :)

Money from Burnley fans, publicity from Man City ... What next ...

Great preseason being had at Moss Lane.

COME ON ALTY !!!

Lets see if Bellamy is a model pro, or just gets sent off after 30 seconds so doesn't have to play .... *we can hope*

Also Elis Plummer who is playing for City is my dads mates son and is already an England under various age groups international. EDS squad is very strong anyway apparently, and with the additions of players who could play for premiership clubs first teams it looks like a good work out to be had by Alty.

Don't know about the biggest but the 3-2 loss to a Malawi XI is one of the weirdest  :o

Quality times had before and after matches in there .. The lick of paint and the smoking ban and how that made it change (lovely smell without smoke)

Playing arrows around push chairs and pool whilst people on the juke box ...

Shame as always stood out with being there whilst all around was being developed.

Another landmark falls ....

Does anyone else remember a bare-footed Tony Rigby doing kick-ups on the pitch that day?

I think he saw his arse because he'd been named as a sub so he didn't play at all.

I remember him doing that but didn't remember the game it was at.

Forgot just how big Ellender and Ellison were ... YELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOWS YELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOWS

Farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrelllllly.. In your most annoying taking the mick voice :)

BID ON A CENTENARY SIGNED ALTRINCHAM FC SHIRT

As part of the Mark Maddox Testimonial I am putting up one of my signed and framed Altrincham Shirts up for auction.

It has been agreed with Brian Flynn and Grahame Rowley that this should be done via the internet and the winning bidder will be presented the framed shirt after the match v Tranmere on the 23 July 2011, the day of the testimonial.

All money from the auction will be going towards the testimonial and that's why it been decided to do this via the forum \ official site and not Ebay or other auction sites.

Please reply to this post with your bids
Bidding will end on Friday 22nd July 2011 @ 5pm

Any questions \ queries please email me at gazwarrington@hotmail.com.

** HAPPY BIDDING ** REMEMBER ALL MONEY WILL BE GOING TO MARK AND HIS FAMILY **

Watched via text updates as was working and was surprised at how well we did considering the team they put out (plenty of players even I recognise)

I know its not about results but getting fitness and looking at players but I believe we can take heart in a 4-2 defeat to such a good team.

Agree with the comment of trying to get this into out regular preseason friendlies list ... Book 'em now :) Hopefully they appreciated the good work out too at our well run club.

Altrincham FC chairman, Grahame Rowley announces on behalf of the Mark Maddox Testimonial Committee that "As part of Maddog's (Mark Maddox's) Testimonial game on July 23rd (against Tranmere Rovers) we have very kindly been offered two fantastic prizes by Rod Thornley, who unfortunately can't be present on the day due to being in the USA with Manchester United.
He has offered a Wayne Rooney shirt signed by all the team and a John Terry England shirt signed by all the team. So that everyone has an opportunity to win a prize we are changing the format of the bidding.

If anyone is interested in winning one of the shirts you are asked to put your name on a £10 note and every note will be entered into a draw at the end of the night when the winner will have the choice of which shirt he would like. The other shirt will be used at a Sportsman's Dinner planned for September 23rd again with all proceeds going to Mark.

If you can't be present on July 23rd for the Tranmere game but would like to be entered in the raffle/auction for the signed shirt please either send in or bring in your £10 note to the club with your name on (marked for the attention of Karen Rowley), and it will be entered into the draw on the night. Where else would you get the opportunity to own a signed Wayne Rooney shirt or a John Terry shirt for just a tenner?!!!!

Many thanks to Rod Thornley for this very generous donation - very much appreciated."

Just a quick note that it was great to read and see that Alty were present at the festival. I helped many moosn ago when we were in it and it felt good to be helping the club.

Well done to those that gave up their time to promote Alty in the town... Lets hope it raises our profile and grabs an extra fan or two :)

COME ON ALTY

Oh no, the 'jungle is masssssssssssssssssive' posse will not be graced with my presence.

We have a big Ford place here, next door to where I work now.. College, offices and a warehouse the size of 27 football pitches..
