Christ that was an awful day. We stayed in the bar most of the second half it was that bad, locals rubbing it in as they got in the play offs. Its a trek from anywhere & zero decent pubs in the town.They were just about my least preferred option of the Conference South teams but there we are.

I doubt that anyone was desperately keen to return to Braintree, especially after our torturous last visit there in on 30th April 2016 which culminated in an abject 3-0 capitulation and duly ensured our relegation under the management of Neil Tolson. However, you certainly couldn't begrudge them their promotion on the evidence of this afternoon's game. Ultimately, it was the tale of two diving headers in extra time and our old friend Danny Cashman missed his opportunity to be the Worthing hero. |
