Robbie Williams to Lincoln City?

Ex Alty man linked with a move to Lincoln City. No doubt David "tinker man" Holdsworth is looking for more defensive options.

Can't imagine why he thinks Robbie Williams will know of anyone?

It's a done deal

It'll be on the back of a couple of solid performances against Mansfield back in the day

Robbie Williams looks like becoming one of those players who will have a decent career without actually being any good. Someone like John Mcaliskey, but it's weird to see a CB as one.

Also, would love to see the Kyle Perryinator here but doubt we'll sign him.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/port_vale/7572149.stm

He signed for Port Vale along with Chasetown teammate Chris Slater on 11 January 2008 for a nominal fee and gave up his day job as a graphic designer.
Perry later thanked Vale boss Lee Sinnott for saving his career.

Well certainly not as desperately as Lincoln seem to need a centre back ! Have they actually watched him ?

To be fair to him, if Lincoln have a centre-back who can tell RW where to be, what to do and when to do it, he might get somewhere. The trouble is that if he's required to make those judgments and decisions for himself he's lost - and if he has to act as senior partner in a centre-back pairing the result is disaster. A bit cruel as a judgment, I grant you - but I'm afraid it's true!

I'd have Perry here like a shot to be quite honest with you. He's always come across as a bit of a bell end but aren't they all nowadays, except Stu obviously.

I would like to wish Robbie best wishes at Lincoln City. I hope he does really well for them and gets his confidence back fully.
