Everybody should boycott this game. The message just might get home. I don't give a flying f**k what side is put out, or what the result is.

There are too many happy clappers for everyone to boycott unfortunately

Chairman Row Lee out.

Although in Saturday there was a fair number of unhappy clappers too!

Alty to win 2-1
-
Nuneaton will not score more than one. Nor will we.
Gut feel is one all.
Att. 72,428 officially.
Att. 428 actually.
-
2-0 Alty. Cyrus(header), Clee (pen)
Be interesting to see who gets the no. 9 shirt after RL comments.
The attendance will be 700+.

Happy with that.
Very happy.

The away fixture earlier in the season was a right barrel of laughs. Hobson and Hattersley at centre half, Charlie Joyce sent off early on. I'd almost forgotten about it.
0-0 again.
-
Can't go as working.
0 0
Attendance - low
-
Alty 2 - 1 Nuneaton
Att 635
I'll be there supporting the players.
-
Well for the first 15 minutes Saturday the only people supporting the players left early, granted the atmosphere may well of been electric after that I can't comment
-
Please can somebody who's going tonight earn my sympathy by trying to work out as accurately as possible how many long suffering souls are actually in the ground ?
-
Nuneaton. McGuinness popping his clogs. Anybody got a Bobby Sands joke?

if like Saturday Phil get the official attendance and half it and your about right.
-
2-0 Alty. Cyrus(header), Clee (pen)
Will Clee be fit to play this evening though?
According to John Laidlar's matchday updates last Saturday: "Nicky Clee was now added to the injured list (ligaments)."

I'll give it a go

I see that this evening's scheduled league fixture between Stalybridge Celtic and Harrogate Town has been postponed owing to a waterlogged pitch, so a victory over ailing Nuneaton Town (who have just sold their leading goalscorer) would see us claw our way off the foot of the league table once again.

...and prolong the misery for a bit longer.

Judging by the state of their pitch during the rugby league match played on it last weekend, it may be some time before they play another home fixture.

The person doing the twitter updates just referenced a small crowd. I want his head on a plate before half time please.

It's also the first observation on matchday updates. Laidlar out !!!
Incidentally, Tomlinson IS out and Andy Jones starts in goal.
-
" all you can here is the people on the pitch " we better get used to that
-
I wonder if Tomlinson's old injury has flared up or if it's unrelated?

RR said he was unavailabel due to work

"I thought we bossed it for most of the game Brian, I really do. Apart from their goal, I can't remember Andy having much to do. We should have scored four or five, tonight, it just wasn't our game. But listen, we've come forward leaps and bounds. When we came in here, the dressing room was as bad as I've seen in 25..." Continued Page 94

2 down.. shambles at the back ...that will hurt morale .. what morale ?

"We've got a bunch of lads who want to be at this football club, and they're hurting in there. When we came here, the dressing room was as bad as I've seen in 25..."

We have a striker on the pitch
-
We have a striker on the pitch
Starting without a striker on the pitch is totally unacceptable. I know Reeves is totally out of sorts and Owens is a big lumbering idiot but at least show a bit of intention!
-
Surely you all know that we shouldn't even be competing with teams as huge as Nuneaton. They are way above our ambitions and we are not fit to lick their boots.
I just thought I'd write Mike Garrett's programme notes for him.

If Gainsborough win tonight which they are doing at half time,we can be OFFICIALLY relegated on Saturday if we lose and Telford and Gainsborough win.

1-3

646 is the official gate - 10 nunny fans.
In reality we are looking at less than 500 if the no show season tickets are excluded.
Resign Chairman Row Lee.
-
300ish season ticket holders, probably about 100 in attendance so actual crowd about 450ish,oh dear.

Put us out of our misery

Outstanding!
I'm so very glad I paid £14 to watch, in the words of the Chairman, "signs that a recovery may be finally starting to take shape." Oh, so very glad. You all missed out on witnessing first hand those green shoots flying up from out of the mire.
Chant of the night: "you'll get the job in the morning" after their third.

I'm glad things are finally taking shape.... I haven't seen Altrincham play well since 14th November 2015, and I've seen a lot of matches and still we are bumbling along with cheery smiles, everything's good. That tonight was a snapshot of the future. 450 people ratlling around a football league graded stadium with miserable faces waiting to go home. They were toss, we were more toss. Anyone left with blinkers on remove them before we fall off the cliff.

Spot on.
Yet another hugely dispiriting experience.
Any chairman who possessed even a modicum of integrity would realise that their time is up, having surveyed both that moribund team and such a meagre number of spectators in the stadium.
This simply cannot continue. #GRexit

Dreadful shambles last night. My advice is don't watch the highlights.

Another gift from Chairman Row Lee. This will reduce your power consumption, saving you money.
Behold the things that Chairman Row Lee has given to us.

I've emailed you this morning.
"You've got to stand for something, or you're gonna fall for anything" as John Cougar Mellencamp succinctly put it.
-
I don't know enough about football to know if it's the chairman's fault so many players are out injured. Maybe it is.

Are you seriously blaming our league position on injuries alone?
-
You've got to admit its a contributory factor. You need your best players on the pitch and you need them to be fit.
-

I totally agree. With a fully fit Craig Hobson,Andy Owens and Alan Goodall we'd have played teams off the park with our pacey passing game and be comfortably in the play offs.

Official warning ! I am the self appointed irony policeman !

Gainsborough end up losing so the OFFICIAL relegation drags on a bit longer.
Looking at Gainsborough's seven remaining league fixtures, you wouldn't fancy them to add too many points to their current tally:
Saturday 25/03/2017 Gainsborough Trinity vs Darlington 1883
Saturday 01/04/2017 Chorley vs Gainsborough Trinity
Saturday 08/04/2017 Gainsborough Trinity vs Stockport County
Friday 14/04/2017 Gainsborough Trinity vs Salford City
Monday 17/04/2017 Brackley Town vs Gainsborough Trinity
Saturday 22/04/2017 Gainsborough Trinity vs Kidderminster Harriers
Saturday 29/04/2017 FC United Of Manchester vs Gainsborough Trinity
Which makes it all the more galling that we have somehow contrived to donate six points to them this season, including that abject 3-2 home defeat back in January.
