I was expecting more hype to be generated since we're supposed to see the new third kit released by the end of the month.
Does anyone know if things have changed?
-
Christmas is coming after all...
-
Can't decide whether I'd like one that was a bit of a throwback or something surprisingly new.
I think the latter as long as it's not too garish so I can wear it around.

Gimmie this but taken from the scoreboard.

A few white pin stripes and you’ve got next years home kit!
-
i think the white kit with the red trim we had in the kevin hulmes/mark sertori season (one for the younger viewers) was very smart.
-
agreed Hale
-
How nice is it that this is the only thing I want to complain about on a Saturday evening.
GIVE ME MY THIRD KIT
-
Amsterdam, have you purchased the 3rd kit? If so, how, I can't find it anywhere
-
Regardless of whether it's lazy or not, I actually wouldn't mind if they just reversed the two colours on the away kit.

I think we're all waiting for the end of September for the announcement ;)

I like that idea
The all yellow kit with the royal blue sash that was worn at York when we knocked them out of the FA Cup before we went on to play Portsmouth is my favourite away kit of all time.
We looked majestic in that one.

It's featured in the 'Welcome To Wrexham' documentary, about 1 or 2 episodes in - after their 0-1 home defeat to us (Ritchie Sutton header) behind closed doors.
-
Teaser alert - wait till the end. All white?

Release date confirmed as tomorrow.
-
All white eh? Bet there's a red trim 😏
-
3rd. Kit is up on the main site and I think it’s great.
-
Perhaps it'll grow on me.
-
I'm not bowled over. It's a bit of a mess :-\

Airdrieonians home kit is fantastic, all we'd need would be to add some black trim & the job's a good 'un.

I quite like the new shirt, something different and still pays homage to the red stripes. I don’t think Airdries kit would work as a third option anyway as there’s as much red and white as the home shirt. Looks like a retro Rugby League shirt to me in any case.
-
Horrid kit, make it sky blue whats the point of a third kit that has red in it,yo may as well use the red and white stripes

Must admit my first thought was "Why?". Hopefully it'll make the club some money especially in the run up to Xmas but a traditionalist like me prefers to see the team play in the usual red & white shirts where possible and the usual away kit is an adequate alternative.
-
Without looking at every other team’s current shirts, the only potential clash of both shirts I can think of would be Aldershot.
-
I thought the idea of a third kit was for when neither of the first two avoided a clash. I can't imagine how that could happen with our first two kits.
PS. Before I'm enlightened, bear in mind I'm not naive enough not to appreciate why this has to happen.

This.

I think I was hoping it would be something understated I felt I could wear away from matches as casual wear but I suppose we've got the tee shirts etc for that?

I’m sure the main consideration was does it look good & will the younger elements of our Fanbase like to wear it, the answer to both those questions is yes IMO so it’s done it’s job.

If that's the case then fair enough. I understand that I'm not the target market but, as you say, if there is one and they're happy to buy and wear it I suppose that's good.

3rd kits usually are for kit clashes, but many European clubs releaae 'concept' kits designed more for aesthetics than to play in.
I suppose this is more the latter, although I cant confess to really understand (other than the obviousl clashes) when we play in Red and white vs Blue and yellow.
Are the kits meant to be home and away, or actually first choice, 2nd choice?
