Listening to the interview with the new signing from barrow. Flynny says he can’t recall a Frenchman playing for Alty before. I seem to remember a chap called Gerrard Leonard making an appearance somewhere. Probably in preseason who was French and also a huge guy of African Origin who played in preseason in midfield and was clearly far too good for conference level and I think his agent pulled a fast one and just got him down to Alty for game time and needless to say he went somewhere else higher up after a couple of appearances. Can these be confirmed by the great minds on here

Transfermarkt has Mohamed Coly's place of birth down as Paris.
-
Was he French or Senegalese though, that’s the question
-
It seems he has duel nationality. As you say born in Paris, but represented, or would have represented Senegal. I’ll take that as a win. Right more needed on Gerrard lèonard
-
Stop press. Mo Coly is NOT the player I’m thinking of. The lad I’m thinking of played in central midfield. Played about two games preseason, massive he was.
