I just don't understand how people who are supposed to be experienced in football are surprised that we don't go all out attack.

We had 14 fit players last night, why would we turn up, go for the throat and get beat 5-0 just to say "we had a go"

Its pathetic.

There is a misprint in my newspaper this morning. Instead of Mansfield 5-0 Altrincham it seems to say we drew 1-1.

Must be some mistake.......

Ahhhhh those nasty Alty players wouldnt attack us for 90 mins so that we could counter attack them and score lots of goals..

Fkn Pathetic.

Messrs Holdsworth, Saunders & Edinburgh (all fkn average players at best in there day) should look a bit closer to home to sort out there inability to win games and consider the fact that maybe, just maybe there management skills are not up to the job.

If Alty had the resources of these clubs I am convinced we would be a top 5 team by now.

Change the fkn record guys, You set of sad tosspots....

KNOB!

It seems as if I was at a different match last night.

Apparently 'The Stags dominated before the break, playing some good football despite the driving rain and howling wind.'

Well done the BBC I guess they got one thing right for a change - there was a howling wind and driving rain !

What it should read was that both teams were evenly matched in the first half and Altrincham dominated in the second half ?

Or perhaps I was just dreaming ?

There's a couple of good programmes on telly tonight.

20:00    Grumpy Old Men            starring      Holdsworth, Saunders & Edinburgh

21:00    One foot in the Grave   starring      Victor Holdsworth, Victor Saunders & Victor Edinburgh (I dont bloody believe it)......  Another two points dropped..

Title: Perspectives

First of all I was barely nervous last night. Doncaster away this was not! Secondly i just think these guys live on different football planets. When they have 6 players out they still have a squad of 20 and if it's a problem get a loanee in. They can't comprehend that we actually only have 14 left and no money to get anyone else. And as for convincing them that our players really did do a days work b4 the game, forget it.

Another manager hiding his own failings, hes spent the whole week telling anyone that would listen that wed come and sit deep and play 352,so why didnt he employ tactics to counter such a formation? A sh*t or bust season ended for mansfield last night, cutbacks and 15th place is the price they will pay for that next season. The wages they must be paying this season for a midtable finish dont bare thinking about. No wonder they are desperate for their 6 points back... Theyll be here for years

You've got to feel for Holdsworth, Saunders and Edinburgh having to justify to their chairman why they have failed to beat a team that trains once a week (if playing on a Tuesday) and has to name players that aren't even fit to play as substitues.

Our tactics nearly won us a football match last night and still eanred us a creditable draw. Mansfield were not up to the task of beating us, whereas a better side might have carved us open.

I simply don't see how that's our fault - get over it Holdsworth you massive gobsh*te!

For a minute lets use role reversal.

Its the last game of the season and Mansfield are 2 points ahead at top. The team second are playing Altrincham. Mansfield obv need the team playing us to lose or draw. But sod it Graham has had enough of people telling him what tactics to use and deploys a 3-3-4 saying we should be playing proper football, we get beat 5-0 with the 14 fit players we have and finish the game with 9 men as 2 come off knackered... Mansfield lose to Wrexham as they score 5 from 342 crosses that were whipped accross that day.

NOW.. what would David 'up and coming' Holdsworth say then ?

Holdsworth.. Another T**t riding off the name of his brother...

Cooper (son of Terry)  is another tosspot who did nowt at Peterborough .

Saunders is just a tosser.  No fkn need for family help there then  :D ;)

"we'd hoped Alty would take the game seriously and play to their strengths and defend in numbers, we're disappointed they went with a gung ho attitude and it's cost us....I'm disappointed as they owed it to mansfield and we've not won the league because of it.....boo hoo sob".....probably....or definetly come to think of it

He spent most of the weekend saying how Mansfield on their day could beat anyone in this league.

Provided they don't employ any form of tactics against Mansfield though obviously, ffs.

credit to you on your midtable finish , it is a terrific achievment given your stature

however I dont buy this ' we only had 14 players fit what did you expect'  nonsense

your team has been defensive all season not just on tuesday , you play 4-5-1 at home  FFS

your fast becoming known as the most negative team in the league

RIR,

That's because our main target man is out with a cruciate. We've only had one fit striker (Senior) all season.

For the record we tend to play 352 or 343 at home.

But anyway, you really should be beating teams like us.

I think we're only becoming know as the most negative team in the league by ex league charlies who think they should roll us over but have neither the skill nor tactical nouse to do so.

For the record this season we have been the most positive for years..which makes your comments even more laughable.

You "massive" clubs will never be happy until we turn up like starry eyed kids...get hammered and go home.

Ain't going to happen.

I love Wrexham fans posting on here, what a  bunch of losers!
I think they should look at their own goals scored column in the table before criticising anybody else. With their attendances rapidly declining and a manager who has lost the plot, they will do well to stay in this league next season.
The Cae Ras will soon be a rugby league ground that a little BSN part time team play in from time to time.

To be fair I think I alluded to this in a previous post. You won't find Wrexham/Mansfield etc fans believing we only have 14 players, nor would they believe that we literally cannot spend money we don't have to get another player. And in fairness, I wouldn't believe either as it's inconceivable. Ruthinred you're just going to have to take our word for it mate. It's the same way as they genuinely don't think we train for 2 hours a week twice a week (not even that now), that by part time we mean like Burton train 4 days a week or something.

And if we're fast becoming known as the most negative team in the league then that's a surefire sign we're not getting beat as often as we used too. I still think other clubs should be careful what they wish for though, if we played Wrexham or Mansfield with Johnson, Denham, Kearney, Doughty, Clee and SMith with a fully fit and sharp Little, Lawton and Welch as back up we'd wipe the floor with them, absolutely batter them.

net season rectum will have a new manager - different outlook, different tacrics.  possibly a few quid left for yet more new players.

I certainly enjoy laughing at rectum but have a snaeky weord feeling the'll be going up to the FL in the next 3 years.  dunno why.

A month or two back Dean Saunders was given an extra years contract. So they'll be going nowhere til he's goone. And the money they're spending from the redevelopment of land into student flats will be gone at the end of next year as well. In short, there's more chance of them playing Chester soon than being back in the football league.

Look's like Mr Houldsworth and his groundsman aren't seeing eye to eye at the moment.

http://www.bluesqfootball.com/story/0,20970,13040_6074307,00.html

I know their pitch was atrocious when Alty visited but you'd have thought as the home team that they would have got used to playing on it it by now ?

Perhaps they should field a team of porkers for their next home game ?

I guess that it shows what a wonderful job our own groundsman and his team have done this season to come up with one of the best playing surfaces in the BSP

Yorks pitch was lousy too.  I know how wet it is here, I know YCFC want to move and I kow they've had money problems. I know all the valid reasons and I've read the excuses in the local press but still, they can surely do better than that.

I wonder how many points their players feel they've lost out on due to that pitch?
