If Tom Peers could convert even half the chances he gets he'd be a top striker. His off the ball play is actually very good, but his finishing is poor. He could have had 4 or 5 at Halesowen. In my nightmares I still see that miss at Blyth.

I get that modern football is results-based, but the guy got them to the playoff final and won the Trophy final last season for Christ's sake.
Alas, you're only as good as your last few results these days - see also Peter Beadle at Hereford last year.
How are our last few results? Curzon manager is in trouble.

I do however expect our results will improve though.
One point from the last nine games, out of the FA Cup, and if Bradford get a result at Gloucester and/or Blyth do what they did to Chester last season (please !) then Curzon will be in the relegation zone. I'm sure Flanagan hasn't become a bad manager overnight, but you can fully understand the thinking in the boardroom.

On the face of it, seemed mad for Curzon to sack Flanagan - but we don't have the benefit of knowing what happens internally (fall-out, internal backfill due to cost-cutting, etc etc).

I would imagine our own team have plenty of credit in the bank just yet, although as we know, football can change very quickly.
Sorry, cocked this up slightly - my actual post is in the middle of the stuff above. It's probably an age thing....

The last ditch penalty shout was in the "I've seen them given" category for me, largely because it was two-footed and from behind. However, the ball was won and he wasn't "out of control". Another ref, another day....

I felt Harrop should have hit it first time to be quite honest. We simply don't have enough shots on goal these days - maybe we should have brought  on Lewis Archer on to see what he could do.

Excellent watch - brought it all back. Shame there was no happy ending though.

My son passed away peacefully this morning after a short but fruitless battle with the aggressive cancer that he battled so bravely in recent months. I'll put details of his funeral on here when we have them.

Some good pubs in Nottingham plus Notts County would be a new ground for most.
Some good pubs in Derby - an overnighter and a visit to Belper could be a decent shout. Forest in the 3rd round would let us do Nottingham  :D

Well done lads, into the draw for the next round.
Looked good passing the ball around nicely.

Who the hell is Ashmore?! :P

Ashmore was the Halesowen number 12 who apparently came on for Richman

Our CF was a bloke called Hullm apparently.

My MOM was "Jamie Jones". The BBC thanked Flynny for giving them background on our team - Flynn out !

My original plan was to go down today, and visit some of my favourite Black Country boozers tonight (particularly the Vine in Brierley Hill) but I can't shake my cold off, so it's the red button from the comfort of my chair I'm afraid.

See their forum for fan reaction. They fear going the same way as Bury. Much as I hate to admit it, I'd be sorry to see our oldest enemies go under. We have no traditional rivals left if they go - I'd rather move past them on merit over a longer period than get above them sooner because they've folded.
