Flabbergasted that someone at this level wants him as in my opinion he's simply not good enough.

Fair play to the lad if he proves me wrong and good luck to him but to me he was no better than the rest of the others NY brought in.

Aswell as not being good enough he's obviously also got an issue with club and fans so he's best outta 'ere.

Suppose his complaints at players who were already here must be aimed at Reeves, Lawrie and Richman as everyone else was new to the club. Besides being rubbish, what also struck me was that he was a moaner.

I'll be surprised if he comes back to haunt us.

In fairness, some of our senior players are probably relying on past reputations at the moment.

Fit lad, got about the pitch but football wise not the best. I'm not remotely bothered that he's gone, he was bang average at best. If him going has meant we've released the funds for Greg Wilkinson, then I'm very happy.

Sounds bitter, move on. Seeing as though he's raised some points let's digest them:

"I didn't think I was treated right there"

We'll that could open to discussion, was it the fact he wasn't chauffeur driven to games?

"A couple of clubs rang me to say they'd circulated my name for loan without speaking to me"

If this is the case then that's disappointing, as a club I thought we'd be better than that, but, this ties into the next statement...

"The new manager didn't want to give me an answer on my future"

Well he's new you cretin, he'll want to get his feet under the table and assess everything including players, this can take a few games, which then leads me to think ne has discussed his future

"I was a new lad and young so was made scapegoat"

Bull sh*t, simple

"When I was there the supporters were disgruntled with the performances"

No sh*t Sherlock, we hadn't and still haven't won ONE league game in a regional league

"Some of the other lads who had been there before Young were immune from criticism"

Not so sunshine, you only have to look on here to see the disappointment with some 'key' established players

He then states for Halifax that "when people are paying good money" they want to see someone run their heart out - true but there has to be a degree of skill pal, I could run my heart out but I can't produce a decent ball winning tackle!

good luck ..move on....your gripe is with neil young as probably is ours....some players have earnt a bit of leeway from the fans after 300 appearances for us.....doesn't sound like the sort of can do team player attitude we need at alty.....

Alty was in aroper pickle when he was here. He certainly never saw the best of Alty FC and its probable that we didnt see the best of him either.
We moved on. He did too.

I think we possibly DID see the best of him. Certainly no lack of effort, but not anything special. Good luck to him, but I suspect Evostik is really his level.
