Mansfield away is not the best draw considering some of the smaller teams that we could have been drawn against! Maybe it will inspire the players to put up a decent fight, not lose their tempers and get something from the game, knowing it will be a challange. The past two seasons judging by our performaces against Kendal and Newcastle we really did not deserve to be in the first round! Lets be honest yes we won those games but we made a hash of them! However, this year we are a much stronger side and we seem to play our better football away from home and against stronger opponents. And the FA cup is all about the under dog!
I think one of the best suggestions would be to try and take as many fans as we did to luton last year! The support that we showed for the lads then made them play well and force a replay! If we aim to take 250 away supporters or about the same as they did on saturday it could really boost the players moral for the cup!

We get half of the gate receipts right?

Win fall for you guys with only getting a home gate average of 1100 There should be over 4000 at Field Mill on the day depends if you lot bring a taxi, mini bus, or fill the dizzy heights of a 55 seater coach....

Well have a great day looking at our fantastic ground & support with hard work perhaps one day you will have the same.....

Good Luck beware of the stewards in black  :o

So you really think you'll get your biggest crowd of the season so far against us? I know that  we are a big draw, but are we that big a draw?

We know what your ground is like, you were a non-league team last year remember?

How could I forget, more fans means better team! That's how Histon knocked out Leeds Utd last year.

You're a genius mate.

Be that as it may, it makes your "50 fans" statement earlier on look rather foolish, does it not?

You Mansfield fans need a lot of things explaining to you don't you.

If you knew anything about football you'd kind of realise that to take 96 to a pointless end of season game on a Tuesday isn't bad.

Some teams bring 10 fans to us..what do you make of that?

Right, for argument's sake, let's say Mansfield average 3,000 at home and Alty average 1,100.

Mansfield brought 400 to Moss Lane last Saturday which is 13.3% of their average home crowd.

So in order to equal this remarkable(!) feat, we would have to bring 146 to your place. I reckon we'll manage that comfortably so I can't see what you're rambling on about to be quite honest.

Altrincham
Population 40,695 (2001 Census)
Average attended 2009 (quoted by Stevestag) 1100
Teams within 10 mile radiius = Manchester United (arguable the biggest club in the world) and Manchester City (Massive Club) -SECOND AND FOURTH IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE.

Mansfield
Population 98,181 (2002 Cencus)
Average attendance 2009 - 3392 (from your own website)
Teams within 11 mile radiius = Nottingham Forest and Notts County - TENTH IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND FOURTH IN THE SECOND DIVISION.

I dont think we do that badly really do you Steve?

Please remember you are NOT a league club, we are in the same league, your Full Time, we are Part Time, we had 9 men and you had 11 men and you still only beat us 2-1 (conceding our goal when we had 9 men and you didnt score when we had nine men).

Oh and by the way why would you sing "Yorkshire" to us? We are not even in Lancashire, we are CHESHIRE - you are strange.

And another thing, your manager talks total bull!
Bring on the FA CUP.

If we win it'll be be a better draw than beating an so called easy lower league side 1-0.

If we lose it'll have been seen as a terrible draw.

Looking forward yes we'd rather have the easy one for obvious reasons but it's the FA cup at what was a football league ground and something we'd have looked forward to a few years ago.....getting abit samey now we're in the big boys week in week out isn't it?
