Not having SKY I very very rarely see Gray and Keays on the box.

I also know better than to comment on the issue!

I am however absolutely delighted that murdochs grubby empire is being given a right kicking.  that man and his empire need bringing under control NOW, and if the politicians & uber-capitalists won't do it then I'm going to enjoy every own goal the horrible creep scores.

Some rumblings that Murdoch's grubby empire did their bit to force Gray out: he'd gone after the NOTW for phone hacking. Not surprised if their sister paper, the Sun, had him in their sights. And all this unused Sky footage had to have been leaked from somewhere.

That would explain why Gray has gone, but Keys hasn't

Writing is on the wall for Keys after this tape has also been released by the same You Tube poster. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jan/26/andy-gray-richard-keys

Stupid of Andy Gray to persue News of the World for damages over phone-hacking, when NotW is partially owned by BSkyB...! Talk about biting the hand that feeds you! Didnt necessarily like either of them - especially after 20yrs of "Tik a boo son"...but the sensationalist British media strike again in another "not news" example of a political correctness witch-hunt. Not great stuff to hear off either of them, but none of it was broadcast and it's just boys being boys. Gordon Brown suffer the same fate after calling that old dear a bigot? Nope.

No. Not sure if something different happened elsewhere in the country, but up here we were told he issued a grovelling apology and kept his job. (Prior to eventually being ousted in the election.)

If Sky wished to simply lose the £1.3m a year wage Andy Gray is paid, then there are better ways about going about reducing / eliminating it. In an off the air, male dominated football environment, with colleagues of 20yrs surrounding him this is complete and utter stitch up and genuinely feel sorry for them both. (Despite the fact i find their commentary and pre-match irritating in the extreme!)

of course he did, nobody sacked him but the media coverage and the public outcry are the same
(he was prime minister - who could sack him?)

NOT the public and that's for sure.  Only members of the Parliamentry Labour Party can depose the leader of the party.

Democracy?  not much.
